Torrents - What About 'Em?

Let's get things rolling....

Image from www.masternewmedia.orgMost of our posts here will ask you to download TORRENTS from a certain website, most of the time from Mininova. So, before we start, we'll tell you what TORRENTS are, how and where you can download them, and why it's better than other Peer-to-Peer file-sharing out there.

If you've already tried downloading files through mIRC, or Peer-to-Peer file-sharing applications like Limewire or Napster (the first P2P I tried), then, you'll enjoy TORRENTS more. Why? Because the speed of download changes over time because of additional Seeders (peers with 100%/completed file) or Leechers (people who don't have 100% of the file). For us, it's the BEST and easiest way to download large files.

Torrents' file sizes are mostly 4kb to 500kb, depending on what kind you're downloading. Also, it is more flexible. You can download a torrent of a complete season of your fave TV show and just select which ones you want to download first. This will also save you space on your hard drives.

However, there's no guarantee that downloading TORRENTS is safe. Make sure you download from popular sites only (we'll list them on a later post) and read comments from those who have downloaded them already before you do anything. Also, we will post "safe" torrents here that we've already tried ourselves.

From our experience, discovering the TORRENT world was the best thing that happened to us in our entire online lives, to exaggerate at that. Come join us. The more people who learn about TORRENTS, the more SEEDERS for everyone.

And, please, when you get started with TORRENTS, SEED!!!
